Underground Storage Tank Services

JEI’s staff of Professional Engineers, Geologists, Environmental Scientists, and Environmental Technicians is specialized in managing specific Underground Storage Tank (UST) and compliance issues.   Since inception in 1984, JEI has worked to develop a strong working relationship with the Louisiana Department of Environmental Quality (LDEQ), Arkansas Department of Environmental Quality (ADEQ), Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ), and the Oklahoma Corporation Commission (OCC) in order to better serve our clients operating under state regulations.  JEI is a Response Action Contractor (RAC) in the state of Louisiana and a Registered Corrective Action Specialist (RCAS) in the state of Texas. JEI’s client base ranges from single UST services to multi-million dollar UST operations.  JEI is fully licensed, insured, & bonded to perform UST services in Arkansas, Louisiana, Oklahoma, & Texas.  Our capabilities include:

• UST Removal – JEI is fully licensed, insured and bonded to perform the demolition, soil excavation, tank removal, & backfill services necessary to properly remove a UST from active service.

• Phase I/Phase II Environmental Site Assessments – JEI performs all Environmental Site Assessments (ESA’s) according to current ASTM standards.  JEI has performed numerous Phase I and Phase II ESA’s for property owners, buyers, seller, real estate companies and lending institutions in the Ark-La-Tex.

• UST Compliance Audits – JEI performs UST audits to ensure customer compliance with current state and federal regulations for Arkansas, Louisiana, Texas, and Oklahoma.

• Risk Based Assessments – JEI conducts risk based assessments according to LDEQ RECAP protocol, TCEQ Plan A, Plan B, and TRRP Requirements, and OCC’s ORBCA Tier I and Tier II requirements.     

• Corrective Action Plans/Alternatives – JEI manages the design, development, and the construction of remediation plans according to LDEQ, ADEQ, TCEQ & OCC.  JEI’s professional staff has experience in designing, constructing, and implementing several forms of soil and groundwater remediation including dual-phase extraction systems (DPEs), air sparging, chemical oxidation, soil vapor extraction (SVE), and bioremediation.  JEI has the capability and experience to perform both small and large scale soil excavations
